Free shuttle bus to exhibition opening in Bratislava

FROM

14/11/19

UNTIL

29/02/20

I missed the bus.
The bus was too crowded, so I had to wait for the next one.
The bus didn’t stop.
I missed the bus, because the bus-stop moved and I didn’t trust the driver.

Looking for excuses for not joining the bus trip to Bratislava? Actually, you´ll find the best ones on the spot! Come and check Hidden Curriculum Excuses by Annette Krauss (2007 – ongoing).

The hidden curriculum usually encompasses the side effects of school instruction. This exhibition focuses on the educational system and its impact on society and its individuals – on schooling. In the transfer of knowledge and skills, education, as presently established by the traditional school system, is basically about learning the proper work ethic and adapting to the hierarchical structure of society. So, if we talk about freedom at work, we must also talk about freedom in education and in this connection, open themes such as disciplining, respecting authority instead of critical thinking, and the teaching of individualism and competitiveness as opposed to cooperation as the work of the future. We must also discuss such problems as segregation, the widening of social differences, and inclusive and empathetic education. Would our society be different if our educational system were based on democratic and respectful principles?

Don´t miss the shuttle bus to Bratislava and trust our driver!
