How can spatial practice contribute to a more just society? »Space for the 99%: Contemporary Slovak and Czech Spatial Practices« brings together organisations, collectives, and movements from Slovakia and the Czech Republic whose work extends beyond architecture and urbanism into sociology, law, and community organising.
Opening: 24 September 2026, 18:00
Venue: tranzit.sk, Beskydská 12, Bratislava
Curators and authors of research: Lýdia Grešáková and Zuzana Tabačková
Exhibition design: Kristina Roman

Through artefacts, studies, petitions, models, and protest banners, the exhibition highlights approaches that address systemic inequalities and improve the lives of communities whose voices often go unheard.
Their stories show that space is more than bricks and mortar. A home is more than four walls, just as public space is more than benches or cycle paths. The exhibited works reveal forms of spatial practice that go beyond the limits of traditional architecture and planning.
