Loss of trust in political institutions, growing polarisation, and the withdrawal of many people from democratic discourse pose major challenges for democracies in Europe.

Cesy Leonard – founder of Radikale Töchter, Maria Mayrhofer -founder of #aufstehn, and Maximilian Oehl – founder of Brand New Bundestag have one thing in common: they refuse to accept these developments and want to inspire people to become politically active.

In their recently published books „Machen Macht Mut“, „Geborgte Zeit – Eine Anstiftung zum Handeln“  and „Brand New Bundestag: So bringen wir frischen Wind in die verstaubten Parlamente“, they outline concrete visions for political engagement and positive change.

Moderated by Vedran Džihić, who will soon publish his own book on the topic titled „Jeder ist Jemand“, the three will discuss the role of civil society in times of growing political disillusionment and use concrete examples to show what each and every individual can do.

The event will take place in German at the ERSTE Foundation and is free of charge.
