Caregiving relatives make an indispensable contribution in Austria: families take on up to 80% of care and support needs, making them the backbone of our health and social care system. Yet their enormous contribution often remains invisible.

The online conference »sprich.Clartext«, initiated by Alles Clara, focuses on the realities of life for family carers. It provides a space for exchange, recognition and practical support. Experts from academia and practice shed light on key challenges and future issues surrounding care in an ageing society.

Key topics for 2026:

• The future of care and nursing in an ageing society
• Dealing with mental illness in the social environment
• Role changes and family relationships in care
• Strategies for early access to family carers
• Visibility and support for young carers

The programme is complemented by presentations on prevention, disaster preparedness, current research projects and support services for eating disorders. The aim of the conference is to share knowledge, promote exchange and jointly develop sustainable solutions for the future.

The whole programme will be held in German.
