OHO (1965–1971) is considered one of the most interesting, complex, and important examples of post-war avant-garde art in Central and Eastern Europe. The OHO group emerged out of the movement and, after a few years of operation, already participated in a high-profile exhibition of conceptual art »Information« (1970) at New York’s Museum of Modern Art. After this major success, the group disbanded itself and formed a commune in Šempas, in the Vipava Valley.

OHO was not only an art collective but an exceptional multidisciplinary cultural phenomenon that connected visual art, film, literature, poetry, and theory. As early as the 1960s, they raised important questions about anthropocentrism and art itself.

Rich in archive material, this documentary about the OHO by film director Damjan Kozole, comprehensively presents this inspiring phenomenon of intertwining art and life while, at the same time, explores what their ideas can offer us today.
