This theatre play is part of the multidisciplinary project “View from my Window”, which started in 2010 with the aim to enable Kosovars and Serbs to tell their life stories from their individual perspectives.
As a first step of the project, 40 individuals of Serbian and Kosovo Albanian origin were interviewed. Each of them told his/her life story, memories of the Serbian-Albanian conflicts as well as their vision of the future and of co-habitation. Students from both backgrounds were trained in the method of oral history telling to conduct the interviews.
Based on the stories of the anonymous interviewees, Milena Bogavac, a dramaturge from Belgrade, and Jeton Neziraj, a dramaturge from Prishtina, collaborated in writing a documentary, post-dramatic text, which Dino Mustafić, a Sarajevon based director, directed for Belgrade’s Bitef Theatre with actors and actresses from Belgrade, Prishtina, Skopje and Tirana. The performance is bilingual, in Serbian and Albanian language, which makes the piece unique and innovative for this region.
