Conference: „Lernen für’s Leben – Bildung als nachhaltige Strategie gegen Armut“
(„Learning for Life – Education as sustainable strategy against poverty”)
The conference “Learning for Life – Education as sustainable strategy against poverty” took place in Vienna from 30.06.-1.7.2008. The aim of the symposium was to strengthen the cooperation between the different actors and to give experts, practitioners as well as an expert audience the opportunity to exchange experiences and know-how, to engage in discussions and to enhance the networking between the participants.
The conference concretely dealt with the question of what education measures can contribute to escaping situations of poverty and discrimination and what preventive measures ought to be taken.
Keynote speeches, working groups and a panel discussion enabled a critical analysis of the topic “Poverty and Education”.
