Prize money:
The 2009 ERSTE Foundation Award for Social Integration offers a total prize money of EUR 295,000
First prize winner: EUR 40,000
Second prize winner: EUR 30,000
Third prize winner: EUR 20,000
4th through 10th places: EUR 15,000 each
Honourable mention awards for 10 other organisations (11th through 20th places): EUR 10,000 each
The project will cover travel and accommodation expenses for two representative of the organisations from the 20 winning projects that will be invited to the Award Ceremony.
Special prize of the jury:
The jury of the ERSTE Foundation Award for Social Integration awards one individual or organisation for the special efforts they have made in the field of social integration. This award will be tailor-made depending on the field of work the awarded organisation is active in.
Practitioners Award:
20 winning organizations will, between themselves, select the winner of their choice for the Practitioners Award. Each organisation may vote for five projects in their category. The project receiving the most points will win the award. The content of the award will be decided at a later stage.
Conference participation:
The conference will be organised around the Award Ceremony including representatives from all the finalist organisations in 2009 as well as the ten prize winners of 2008.
Regional Recognition:
All 71 finalists will receive regional recognition for their efforts through media coverage, which will also increase their chances of receiving support at regional and EU level.
Network of possible partners:
The 71 finalists will have complete access to ERSTE Foundation’s network of organisations engaged in the social field.
Network of possible supporters:
The 20 winning organisations will have access to ERSTE Foundation’s continuously updated database of possible sponsors and supporters.
Media recognition:
The Award will support the winners of the first three prizes in each category with a promotional film. These materials will be made available to local and international media channels.
