ERSTE Foundation Award for Social Integration
The ERSTE Foundation Award for Social Integration rewards and promotes innovative and creative social integration projects in 13 CEE countries. Every winning project has made a valuable impact and difference in society. Having started in 2007, when it addressed NGOs from 4 countries of former Yugoslavia, the ERSTE Foundation Award for Social Integration and its community have been growing ever since.
So far 70 organisations have been awarded with more than 1 000 000 € prize-money. In addition to the financial awards, we provide professional PR-support to all finalists for a duration of 2 years. It is our believe that only a strong and well connected Civil Society Sector can have a long-term impact on the community. Therefore we also provide capacity building trainings and networking possibilities to all finalists.
The network is growing and so is the award ceremony. Starting in Ljubljana in 2008 the ceremony has developed to a remarkable event with more than 700 guest in 2011, taking place in Prague. Various representatives from the public and the private sector, media and most importantly NGOs come to together to honor the winners, celebrate their achievements and mark the beginning of an intensive two year cooperation.
