Any member of the public may use the ERSTE Foundation Library Collection on the premises without a library card. You may search for information resources, browse our open-access collection, and use our photocopy machine. Of course, you may ask for help finding information material - anytime. For borrowing material you need to obtain a library card.
Checking out material for use outside the library requires a valid ID in order to obtain a library card at the Library Desk in ERSTE Foundation. Once registered, you may borrow information material, update your email address online, place holds and recalls, check on and renew your borrowed items. You can also update your email address online.
The loan period runs – if not agreed otherwise – for three weeks in general. Using your library card for access your library online account, you can see what books are checked out to you and when they are due. The ERSTE Foundation Library online catalogue will note whether an item is on reserve, or has other use restriction.
You may renew in person or by calling the library at +43 (0) 50100 15461. You may also renew items online yourself in ERSTE Foundation Library online catalogue for another three weeks. Please get in contact with the library, if you need the material checked out even longer.
Holds may be placed in person or in the ERSTE Foundation Library online catalogue with a valid library card.
If you need an item that is checked out to another borrower, you may place a recall yourself online or in person at the library. As soon as the item has arrived, the library will notify you by email. You may also log on into ERSTE Foundation Library OPAC to check on the status of the item.
