Foundation Networks
Networking means also to get in touch with other foundations and to learn and experience how the others do. Currently ERSTE Foundation is member of four umbrella organisations for foundations.

European Foundation Centre (efc)The EFC is an international association of foundations and corporate funders dedicated to creating an enabling legal and fiscal environment for foundations, documenting the foundation landscape, strengthening the infrastructure of the sector and promoting collaboration, both among foundations and between foundations and other actors. ERSTE Foundation is the only Austrian foundation among altogether 236 members from 40 countries (data from 2010) around the world, most of them based in Europe. |

Network of European Foundations (NEF)NEF acts as an operational platform to develop projects and initiatives between foundations and other types of organised philanthropy. ERSTE Foundation is the only Austrian foundation among 13 distinguished members. |

Verband Österreichischer Privatstiftungen (VÖP)ERSTE Foundation is member of the Association of Austrian Private Foundations. |
ERSTE Foundation is also the biggest member of a network of Austrian Private Foundations of Savings Banks (Österreichische Sparkassen-Privatstiftungen). These foundations are not organised in any association but they were founded under the same legal conditions and referring all to the social business tradition of the savings banks, obliged to work for the common good.
