The system in crisis because a very large number of people do not see it meeting their basic needs. This crisis is linked to the way the system is built. International exchanges are designed to benefit a minority, not the majority.

Felwine Sarr, professor at Gaston Berger University believes that Europe can learn a great deal from African societies because they represent the historic depth, what is most important in the history of humankind. They have been able to create social ties by integrating differences, withstanding shocks. The legacy that Africa has bequeathed to the world is humanity and the sustainability of life. To put it differently, Homo sapiens evolved in Africa. In his view, these are fundamental questions that concern the way we can shape and create a balanced world together.
