Wanted: Participants for International School Competition in the Year of Intercultural Dialogue
ACES is an educational initiative of ERSTE Foundation in cooperation with Interkulturelles Zentrum (Vienna). The network of schools is active in Central Europe since 2007 and aims at promoting exchange and intercultural dialogue among young people. Currently, 12 partner countries are involved in the network which is also supported by the Ministries of Education of all participating countries.
One competition – plenty of winners
From 1st February to 30th April 2008 interested schools are invited to find international partners and to submit a joint project proposal. The call addresses schools (also vocational schools) in the eligible countries with a target group of students aged 12 – 17 years. The online Partner Finder on the ACESwebsite www.aces.or.at can help to identify a partner school for the project. An international selection committee selects and awards the best projects. The winners are supported to carry out their crossboarder projects. Furthermore, international meetings with delegations from all winning projects provide regular opportunities for further exchange, the presentation of the joint results and ongoing evaluation.
