ERSTE Foundation: Changes in the Managing Board

 Furthermore, the Supervisory Board has decided to increase the size of the Managing Board, chaired by Andreas Treichl, from three to four members. Dietrich Karner, who has been a member of the Board since 2005, will succeed Deputy Chairman Franz Ceska. Richard Wolf and Boris Marte will join the Board with effect from 1 February 2008 and 6 June 2008, respectively. Marte’s appointment is subject to the admission to the Savings Bank Association.

Boris Marte (43) has been managing the Foundation’s activities during the past three years and has also contributed to the development of the Foundation. As Head of Group Sponsoring of Erste Bank, he has played an instrumental role in developing and extending the bank’s sponsoring activities in Central Europe. These include the collection of contemporary art as well as KONTAKT. The Arts and Civil Society Program in Central and Eastern Europe. Boris Marte will retire from his position at Erste Bank to join the Managing Board of ERSTE Foundation.

Richard Wolf (45) has many years of experience in mergers & acquisitions working for Chase Manhattan and Crédit Lyonnias, and, in his capacity as lawyer, focuses on banking law, capital markets law and financial law as well as M&A.
