The first branch of Die Zweite Sparkasse in Vienna’s Leopoldstadt district is inaugurated in the presence of the Federal President of Austria, Dr. Heinz Fischer.

The office at Glockengasse has around 200 customers.
23 March 2007
In addition to a bank account, all customers are now also automatically offered an insurance package from Vienna Insurance Group.

Die Zweite Sparkasse is awarded third prize in the “Sozial Marie 2007”.
4 July 2007
Die Zweite Sparkasse is awarded the “Greinecker Seniorenpreis” of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF.
14 September 2007
The office in Innsbruck is inaugurated.
9 October 2007
Four new counselling organisations start recommending customers to Die Zweite Sparkasse in Vienna. MA 40, Dialog, NEUSTART and Wiener Hilfswerk bolster the team made up of Caritas and debt counselling services.
22 November 2007
The Salzburg office is inaugurated.
31 December 2007
Die Zweite Sparkasse has about 1,300 customers. In three branches, 268 volunteers manage around 1,800 accounts.
12 February 2008
The Klagenfurt office is inaugurated.
15 May 2008
The Graz office is inaugurated.
