This Human World
this human world initially began the same year which commemorated the 60th anniversary of The Universal Declaration on Human Rights. In 2008, it became the first film festival of its kind in Austria. As a prominent member of the International Human Rights Film Network (HRFN), this human world has since followed the example of globally established, recognised and successful festivals (such as those presented annually in Prague, Geneva, New York and London).
The festival is commited to featuring both national and international films; highlighting the social issues both present in Vienna and around the world. Exceptionally diverse and socially-valuable documentaries, creative stories and even animated films are used to frame and showcase relevant topics pertinent to the mission of the festival.
