tranzit.ro, the fifth member of the tranzit network starts its activities in June 2012, in four Romanian cities Iaşi, Cluj, Bucharest and Sibiu. Founded by a collective of curators and artists from Romania (Matei Bejenaru, Livia Pancu, Lia Perjovschi, Attila Tordai-S, Raluca Voinea), tranzit.ro aims at encouraging contemporary art practices developed in Romania within different local socio-cultural contexts, through a wide range of activities.
tranzit.ro operates under a common conceptual frame, entitled “Fiction, Rhetoric and Facts”, trying to create the context and facilitate the development of cultural and artistic projects that reflect and operate on the issue of Romanian society, seen on the larger contemporary background. This programme is concretised in projects realised in accordance with the curatorial conception of each tranzit.ro coordinator and to the local particularities in each city, as well as in larger projects and cooperations.
Details about each project, space and upcoming events will be announced soon on http://ro.tranzit.org/.
