The Discovery of Slowness II

The Discovery of Slowness II

The exhibition “The Discovery of Slowness” reflects contemporary expressions of slowness, its quality and form and its relation to reality. It revives interest in different perceptions and different experiences of time passing than the one accepted by contemporary paradigm. “When one wants to savour, remember or prolong a moment one moves and acts slowly. However, our epoch abandons itself to the demon of speed and therefore so easily forgets itself” (M. Kundera). “Slowness” at the exhibition emerges from works of selected authors through audio-visual-textual spectacle, not explicitly yet in sensual and intellectual indications as abstract, hardly seizable quality. This exhibition project is done in collaboration by and Gallery HIT in the frame of Blaf – Bratislava Art Festival.
