Start of Fellowships for Curators and Artists at Salzburg Summer Academy

ERSTE Foundation offers eight fellowships for young artists and for emerging curators from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovak Republic to take part in a course of their choice at the Salzburg Summer Academy of Fine Arts (16 July – 25 August 2012).

In order to select the eight fellows, a call was held in the respective countries beginning of this year, and over 100 applications were handed in.

Here are the eight fellows (and the courses of their choice) selected by a jury formed by ERSTE Foundation together with its long term project partners,, and

Luminița Apostu (RO) – course of Maria Lind / Juan A.
Josef Bareš (CZ) – course of Christoph Schäfer
Gábor Erlich (HU) – course of Tania Bruguera
Mira Keratová (SK) – course of Maria Lind / Juan A.
Katarina Morhacova (SK) – course of WHW
Michal Novotný (CZ) – course of Maria Lind / Juan A.
Márton Pacsika (HU) – course of WHW
Daniela Pălimariu (RO) – course of Christoph Schäfer

The fellowships are designed for artists and curators at the beginning of their career and cover room and board, travel expenses and the participation fee for the course. Furthermore, the participants will be given the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and their experience, to reflect their own work, develop new ideas and get contacts on an international level.
