Shortlist for the EF Fellowship for Social Research selected

social research

After a relatively short call for papers for this year’s ERSTE Foundation Fellowship for Social Research on the topic “Labour markets and employment in CEE” we received not less than 140 applications, which is almost three times more than the number of applications for our last generation. We knew that the process of selection would be challenging. 140 research proposals related to different aspects of employment, be it linked to demographics, gender, migration, policy, minorities. 140 researchers from 11 countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Ukraine.

Thanks to our great team of reviewers and their support we have selected our shortlist of 50 fellows.

The process of selecting the 25 finalists will continue in Vienna, 17 – 18 September 2012, where the researchers will defend their proposals during two days of interviews.

Looking forward to the finalists who are going to be supported in conducting their research for one year, and participate in several meetings as part of the ERSTE Foundation Fellowship for Social Research 2013.
