Salzburg Summer Academy 2016: The New Fellows of the Fellowship for Curators & Artists

ERSTE Foundation offers five fellowships for young artists and five fellowships for emerging curators from Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovak Republic to take part in a course of their choice at the International  Summer Academy of Fine Arts in  Salzburg 2016 (18 July – 27 August 2016).

The fellowships are designed for artists and curators at the beginning of their career and cover room and board, travel expenses and the participation fee for the course. Furthermore, the participants will be given the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and their experience, to reflect their own work, develop new ideas and get contacts on an international level.

A call was held in the respective countries beginning of this year and a jury – formed by ERSTE Foundation together with its long term project partners,, and – selected the following fellows:

  • Simon Kadlcak (CZ) – course of Varda Caivano
  • Tomas Kajanek (CZ) – course of Joanna Warsza

  • Adam Krasz (HU) – course of Nora Schultz
  • Ferenc Margl (HU) – course of Alya Sebti
  • Hajnalka Tulisz (HU) – course of Distruktur, Melissa Dullius + Gustavo Jahn
  • Mihaela Varzari (RO) – course of Alya Sebti
  • Martin Zaicek (SK) – course of Joanna Warsza

Congratulation to the fellows! We wish them a productive and interesting time. We are looking forward to any possible presentation or participation in a public event during the Salzburg Summer Academy.
