Reporter'11: Who are the journalists of tomorrow?
For the 4th time this year and in cooperation with ERSTE Foundation, the Austrian daily Die Presse is looking for talented young reporters in the frame of the contests Reporter’11 and Reporter’11-Ost.
The winner of Reporter’11 will go on a 2-week trip together with Die Presse foreign affairs editor Thomas Seifert to report from interesting locations all over the world. Reporter’11-Ost is a new contest that takes place for the first time this year with a view to enhancing the focus on the countries in Southeastern Europe, which are already at the centre of attention in the paper’s weekly supplement Eastconomist. The winner of this contest will travel to a destination in Southeastern Europe together with Wieland Schneider, expert for the region at Die Presse.
The applicants were asked to propose topics and destinations for reports. We are very excited to see which topics they are interested in, what they think should be presented to the world, which destinations they consider worth wile.
The Reporter’11 trip with Thomas Seifert will start in February 2011, the Reporter’11-Ost trip with Wieland Schneider will be around Easter 2011. The reports from both trips will be published in the paper DiePresse and in a special blog at DiePresse.com.
