The new addition to the young republic of Kakania will be the speech given by Jáchym Topol, who was a member of Prague’s underground literary and music movement in the late 1970s and 1980s. He wrote lyrics for the rock band Psí Vojáci and founded the underground magazine Revolver Revue. Today he is one of the most significant authors in the Czech Republic whose works have been translated into many languages. His most recent works, which have been published in German, are the novels Die Teufelswerkstatt and Zirkuszone.
