Kakanien – New Homelands: Episode 4

Corinna Kirchhoff invites the Austrian author Maja Haderlap to read from her work about the loss of the Slovene language in Carinthia. In her award-winning novel „Engel des Vergessens“ / “Angel of Forgetfulness” she vividly tells about the search for identity. With this text she won 2011 as well the prestigious Ingeborg Bachmann Prize at the 35th Festival of German Literature in Klagenfurt.

This evening the author will be accompanied by the Vienna-based Slovenian musician Maja Osojnik and the guitarist Michael Bruckner Weinhuber. Maja Osojnik sings her own songs and also poems of Maja Haderlap, which she composed specially for this evening.

The evening will be held in German language.
