Also in 2011, ERSTE Foundation supports the exhibition programme of Open Space, Open Systems – Zentrum für Kunstprojekte. The exhibition It’s the Political Economy, Stupid unites a group of artists who deal critically with the present economic crisis. Instead of giving in to the crisis, the exhibition asks if it is time to push back against the dictate of capitalist logic and, as if by some artistic sorcery, to launch the rescue of the very notion of the social itself.
