GayFest 2012, Bucharest – by ACCEPT Association
Taking place during 25 June – 1 July in Bucharest, GayFest 2012 focuses on the diversity of human relations and the values that define individuals beyond sexual orientation or gender identity.
The programme of the festival includes various cultural happenings organised in several locations in Bucharest: exhibitions, movies, theater plays, discussions (about love), concerts, workshops – among them also two initiatives previously supported by ERSTE Foundation: screening of the movie “Secret Years” by Hungarian Civil Works Association (one of the winners of the ERSTE Foundation Award for Social Integration 2011) and the “ROGVAIV” performance by Moldovan Spalatorie Theater.
The Diversity March will take place on Saturday, 30 June, during 5-7pm in the center of the city. The March is organised this year by ACCEPT Association in partnership with the programme “I Am! What about You?” of the Romanian PSI Foundation. The programme’s aim is to prevent HIV transmission and to build a more responsible, united and healthier Romanian LGBT community.
ACCEPT Association is one of the winners of the ERSTE Foundation Award for Social Integration 2011.
