ERSTE Foundation NGO Academy kicks off in Vienna!
The ERSTE Foundation NGO Academy was founded to help strengthen the social sector in Central and South Eastern Europe. It provides capacity building support to NGOs by offering them two different programmes tailored to assist them in strengthening their expertise, acquiring new skills and building networks to be able to cope with existing and future challenges in their field of work.
In order to implement them, the Foundation has teamed up with the Competence Centre for Nonprofit Organisations and Social Entrepreneurship of Vienna University of Economics and Business. The Social Innovation and Management Programme combines practice-oriented training with a solid base of expert knowledge to 25 selected NGO representatives from Central and South Eastern Europe. The Regional Programme features subject-specific events, which have a strong local focus and are offered in five language groups.
The first Module of the Social Innovation and Management Programme 2014 will take place on 24 – 28 March in Vienna.
The customised, three-week programme helps the participants to Identify new resources, successfully implement and manage projects and work on specific challenges which NGOs face in their work. In the first project phase the programme is open to finalist organisations of the ERSTE Foundation Award for Social Integration 2013.
