ERSTE Community kicks off @ European Forum Alpbach

One of ERSTE Foundation’s most important goals is to establish an effective network with organisations that are, like itself, committed to the common good. This is why we set up ERSTE Community. The upcoming weekend marks a special date: it is going to be the first time that the participating organisations will meet. Accordingly, the venue is also special – the European Forum Alpbach has been selected as the platform for the first ERSTE Community gathering.

Some 30 representatives of organisations which have long been cooperating with ERSTE Foundation will meet in the small Tyrolean town; among these organisations, Archis Interventions, the European Stability Initiative (ESI), Interkulturelles Zentrum (IZ), the European Fund for the Balkans (EFB), the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) and the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN).

The programme for the Community includes a workshop with urbanist Kai Vöckler on "Participation in modern urban development – The case of Prishtina" and a panel discussion on the question, "How big is your Europe?" hosted by Erhard Busek. Apart from the Community programme and as a special benefit, the Community members will be able to assist to the programme of the European Forum Alpbach.
