School community projects meet social challenges: make a difference and participate in the aces – act local project contest 2017!
aces – Academy of Central European Schools – act local is the new support programme for school-community projects tackling a relevant social challenge in their surroundings. What does this call offer to students and teachers in Central and South Eastern Europe? First of all, it offers concrete opportunities to take action but also to create new cross-sectoral partnerships with the community. What is more, it helps empowering the actors in order to support sustainable social development. Schools from Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia are kindly invited to participate in the project contest together with (a) non-school partner/s from their local community!
aces – act local call 2017 and its theme: “Every person matters. Together for social inclusion.”

Take the first step as a team and meet a challenge in your community related to social cohesion, inclusion or overcoming discrimination and marginalisation.
Target group: All types of public schools in the 15 eligible aces partner countries with pupils aged 13-17 years can participate. (Private schools and private schools under public law are excluded!).
The working language in aces is English, but the use of other languages in the local projects is possible.
Submission deadline: 28 February 2017, 23:59 CET
