A new series of events at Caminul Cultural

A new series of events at Caminul Cultural_You might as well...

Caminul Cultural is back with a new series of events that unfold from October to December 2015. This time, their project has at its core violence as a general form of manifestation, in several of its instances, as well as the domination that seems inherent to almost all social relations and connections.

In this context, Caminul Cultural decided to support and show projects, which speak openly about some of those things we don’t really discuss publicly.

The artist Farid Fairuz considers time is the first essential resource that is being stolen from us. He sees his current performance as a political gesture of stealing one hour from our constant preoccupation with competition, efficiency and productivity and also as returning that hour to a single male participant. Before him, the artist will unveil the inherent manipulations of the artistic act, as a first step in understanding the way in which power can operate at more subtle levels and also as a new negotiation possibility between two parts.

“You might as well have sung the Swedish national anthem” brings everything down to human scale and reopens an intimate and comfortable space of dialogue and reflection, finding normality precisely in the midst of a performance, which he will tenderly thrust, in the surrounding reality.

CUNTHATE [ URĂ ] takes a stand against the anti-woman propaganda behind the profitable GONZO pornography. GONZO pushes the bodily limits of females through violent sex acts. By comparing the violent pornographic acts to approved torture and popular culture, CUNTHATE [ URĂ ] warns of the influence of pornographic violence on our media and of its impact on interpersonal relationships in our society.
