Opening: 22 May 2011, 7 pm
The Jewish Film Festival is a cultural and educational programme that promotes the history and culture of Jewish people, with special emphasis on the historical period of the Holocaust. This year it will celebrate its 5th edition from 22 to 28 May in Zagreb and will be dedicated to women in the Holocaust – the life stories of girls, women, mothers and wives who lived at the time of the Second World War. All film projections will take place in the “Europa” Cinema and will be subtitled in Croatian and English.
Within the programme of the festival there is a special project related to teaching young people about the Holocaust, called “Educational Mornings”. The aim of the educational programme is to introduce the tragedy of the Holocaust to young generations and to encourage them to develop tolerance.
